Ronald R. Sibila, Chairman of the Board, joined his father, Ray L. Sibila, in the business in 1957.
Ron graduated in 1954 from Ohio University with a bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance. He served in the U.S. Air Force as Instructor Navigator from 1954-1957. While attending OU Ron was a member of the Psi Chapter of Phi Kappa Theta and was recognized for his lifetime contributions in 2017. Ron was the first member of his family to earn a college degree.
In 1957 Ron was Dispatcher and in 1961 he was responsible for new business development and sales, in 1971 he was named Executive Vice President and in 1986 was named President \ Chairman of the board.
Ron received awards for Outstanding Service from the National Moving & Storage Association and Leadership from Catholic Charities Advisory Board in the 1980s and was recognized by the Chamber of Commerce and the Massillon Community with the Sandy Sanders Award for outstanding service and leadership. Ron was inducted into The Executive Order of The Ohio Association of Commodores in the 1990s.
Ron has chaired many organizations including the Ohio Trucking Association, Massillon Automobile Club, Massillon Area Chamber of Commerce, Catholic Charities, and Massillon Development Foundation. He was Treasurer and President of the Mayflower Warehousemen’s Association. He was President from 1973 through 1975 and then was inducted into the Hall of Honor for devotion and distinguished service to the trucking industry by the OTA in 1994.
Ron resides in Massillon, Ohio with his wife Jane. They have five children, Michael, Michelle, Linda, Joni, and Douglas.
